wildpic, that is a very nice pic. I guess it is a mushroom? Looks like someone with wings on their feet :) (Trying to stretch my imagination)

I admire Ansel Adams. He talks more optics than an engineer does. If you really want to know why f-stops are the way they are, you should read his books.
