bait ...
the short version of the story ... the dog was baited to catch a leapord. not the way we see in the last picture, but inside a cage. the leapord was caught and the dog was unharmed. the last picture is the trauma of the whole experience.
a bait indeed ... will be loose soon, with the story ... indeed ...

Im glad that the dog was unharmed...
I am horrified about the condition the "freed" dog found himself at the time.
It appears he was ill and severly negleted, possibly regularly beaten?
Have you had an opportunity to follow up on his well-being?
Perhaps we might have other/different social priorities -don't mean to judge with the above concernn and question.
