what is seeing ?...

" he thinks he believes only what he see, but he is much better at believing than at seeing " - (on request)

in view of the fact.
in common usage, visual perception.
in astronomy, seeing is a technical term related to the blurring effects of air turbulence in the atmosphere.
in the occult seeing refers to "the sight" or the ability to see auras or to predict the future.
(someone) being in a romantic relationship.
seeing depends on many things.
seeing within changes one's outer vision.
so what is seeing ? what do u see in the above picture ? ... will continue after receiving a few comments ...

Suresh, I see triangle of light, sphere of light, shadow, fuzzy indistinction, texture, indentation, forest garden park, living breathing being, tree, friend, horizontal marking, interbeing, colors, air, humidity, a path, roots, birds, monkeys, a camera, a man in short-sleeved shirt smiling.

Various shadows of tree branches are falling on a stone which has markings on it. In the bottom right hand corner is an image of a bird.

Can't see the forest for the tree, Heh. Actually, if I turn it upside down, it looks like the random patterns of nature.

I stare and I stare...I want to see, but the light is blurring my perception. I think, "I think I see directions to something..." but when I clear my minds eye, all I see is a few lines that hint at a shape, that might hint at an idea...

rauf, u have simply stated the obvious and u deny to see anything. dint want to take any risk and and u seem to have a problem with my idea of 'seeing' i wonder why ? were u expecting a psycho analysis ?
what is this any tribal can see thing ? yeah there are scientists too, who can say the age, gender, health of the bear plus exact description, age, size of the tree etc and lichen etc but i dont understand your point ? please explain.

jorge, very much so. we can only see what we already know, ofcoure we can hybridize opinions ...

its could be a zebra crosing for ants and insects ;). they are not territorial markings, sloth bears dont mark territory like how big cats do.

rob, those are shadows from the canopy. and the tree trunk does look like a stone but such clear sharp marks are seldom possible on stone. the image of a bird is an interesting one ! thanks for that and thanks for the comment too !

davo, one has to get out of the trees to see the forest heh ! thats an interesting flip, great that u can see the random patterns of nature, better upside down ... unlimited isnt it ?
thank u very much for the flip and alignment !

wendy, thats quiet something that u saw out there, very mystical ...
the amazing thing is what u said can be perfectly fitted into my 'idea of seeing' and how the story went on. spooky ! thanks a lot wendy c for 'seeing' it !

Thank you Wildpic - this was a very useful exercise...just "looking and seeing." I observe that each of us appear to be influenced by what we think we might see...or what we already believe to be there. Funny creatures, aren't we? Always looking for patterns that may reveal meaning...of what, I do not know...

Thats what i hinted at...:-)

they are not territorial markings, sloth bears dont mark territory like how big cats do.

How different are they from the big cats excepting the claws perhaps ?? I mean do cats use trees to mark territories ?

wendy c, am so glad u found the exercise useful.

what you are saying is absolutely true, we all see with great control over our minds and reality always takes a back seat ... wonder what point in our survival it proves ?

hey jorge, i never underestimated your ability to see the zebra crossing for ants, good call ! ;)

do cats use trees to mark territories ? using claw marks ?

good question, i have to correct myself, i know that they scent mark on trees. usually cats mark on trees while they are sharpening or peeling the old layer of skin on their claws. i wonder wheather any other cat notices that (i highly doubt it). will keep your question in mind and update when i meet a tiger expert. (soon)

All seeing is first a celebration of light...what comes after is as personal as the retina the light falls on and the occipital lobe into which the signals are fed.

except I cannot imagine a bone so big or shadows of branches so small, I would take it for an image of a bone, gnawed clean by sharp teeth just after it was liberated from the carcass it supported which lay in the dirt of some forest for a year or two.
