not a rat ...
i rember this picture so well ... shot this pic two and a half years back,
remember the location, remember the camera settings, remember the lighting, remember the weather .... but about the subject ... all i know is that its a 'shrew' and ... not a rat ...

Quite an intelligent looking shrew.
Great pic. How close were you when you shot this.
i used a 105 mm macro, apture of f4. was about 8 inch to the subject.luckily for me the shrew was not very shrewd.
That sure is a mean, ugly lookin thing.
